A major contribution has been received from the Fredericton Area Medical Staff for our project! These funds will be used for so many amazing things, not the least of which are:
- purchasing bikes for repair, loan and offer;
- securing necessary equipment and tools for our experiential learning connected to the club, including cables, tubes, brake pads for bikes, trucks, grip tape and wheels for boards;
- building storage space within the school;
- creating design to silk screen on club shirts and stickers.
We cannot overstate the importance of this donation – throughout the last 3 years we have struggled to find stable funding stream solutions and the generosity and vision of the Fredericton Area Medical Staff solves these challenges. As such, we can now focus our energies on building experiential learning opportunities for the kids of George Street Middle School around adventure, fitness, community, artistic creation and mechanical skill development. It’s time to put the wheels on the ground!
Monday, April 3, we will have our first meeting after school with all the kids at George Street Middle School who are interested in crafting the name, mission of this club, planning its future trajectory and dreaming of what we might do and become! All cyclists, skateboarders and scooter riders have been invited and we are so stoked to find out what they might come up with!

The kids are, officially, ALRIGHT!
